Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho, has vowed never to run away from the Department of State Security or other security operatives.
He said he had done nothing wrong, adding that he remained in his Ibadan home.
He said this on Friday after reports broke that the DSS attempted to arrest him.
While the DSS has denied this, Igboho noted that if there was any people the authorities should go after or invite they were ‘Gumi’ and ‘Shekau’ – referring to popular cleric Ahmad Gumi, who has been speaking on behalf of bandits; and leader of Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau.
‘The Punch’ quoted Igbho as saying: “Go and ask them to invite Gumi and Shekau first before disturbing me. Let them face the bandits instead.
“What for? I am in the neighbourhood. I cannot run.”
