As Lekki protesters hold today’s planned campaign despite threat by the police and other security agents, policemen have arrested popular comedian, Mr Macaroni – Debo Adebayo.
His phone was also said to have been seized.
The comedian joined other protesters at the tollgate to express his dissatisfaction with the decision of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry allowing the Lekki Concession Company to reopen the Lekki tollgate on Saturday.
Reports say he was arrested after the police told him “we don’t want you here”.
Meanwhile, about 17 other protesters were said to have been arrested.
One of the organisers of the #OccupyLekkiTollgat, Kunle Ajayi, comfirmed this.
