Most parents need psychiatric treatment – Femi Kuti

Afro beat star, Femi Kuti, has said that most parents need psychiatric treatment based on the way they relate and bring up their children.
According to him, in the course of quarrelling, many spouses transfer hate and aggression to their children, which, he said, ought not be.
He said such disposition needed a special intervention.
Femi made this known on Thursday morning during an ongoing TVC programme, ‘Your View’.
“Whatever happens between the couple should never spill over to the children. I have seven children, but I’m not the best of friends with some of their mothers. Yet, I don’t bring my children up to hate their mothers,” he said.
He added that cheating, whether on the part of the husband or wife, was not the end of life, meaning that heaven needed not fall when it happened.
“Women too cheat. Yet, because the woman cheated, did she kill anybody? Things happen in this world.
“I brought up Made. Made loves his mother. Made’s mother and I, today, are the best of friends. So, when you start to fight, you don’t sell hate to the kids.”
