In what seems to harbour an indictment, popular activist, Aisha Yesufu, has called on stars in the northern segment of the film industry to put pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop insecurity in the region.
She seems to believe they are not doing enough, just as she is asking other celebrities in the region to rise to the occasion.
This is coming as insurgents and bandits continue to wreak havoc in the North, with some of the incidents also happening elsewhere in the country.
Only weeks after the Boko Haram, for instance, slaughtered over 40 farmers in Sabarmari, Bornu State, they, on Friday, also abducted over 300 students in Kankara, Katsina State.
Yesufu, however, lamented on Twitter on Wednesday:
”Where are the kannywood people? Where are the Northern musicians? Where are the Northern celebrities? Where are the Northern youth? Where is Arewa twitter? Time to demand for lives to matter. Start online and move to the streets. The world will join and force Buhari to act!”
