Artiste and daughter of afro beat legend Fela, Yeni, has warned the Nigerian government against introducing another lockdown towards combating coronavirus.
According to her, the economic situation is so terrible that another lockdown will lead to recession ‘times 10’.
She noted on Tuesday during a TVC programme, ‘You View’, that although the pandemic might rear its uglier head again, the government should not just imitate the United Kingdom and other western countries in its approach, saying they had strong economies and palliative responses.
‘Government should create its own way of dealing with the situation, not just copying the oyinbo people,” she said.
