A Kenyan pilot died early on Thursday after a light aircraft crashed near a local aviation training school in Isinya, Kajiado County, south of Nairobi.

The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) said its pilot was alone when the AutoGyro aircraft model Mtosport 2010 went down at about 7:40 a.m. (4:40 GMT) on Thursday.

“A thorough investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the accident.

“We convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved,” KWS said in a statement.

The wildlife agency and witnesses said the accident happened at the Orly Airpark during a routine training exercise.
