The Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) has arrested the acting Director-General (DG) of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA), Alex Akpa.
He was arrested for allegedly defrauding the federal government of N400 million.
Alex who is a professor of microbiology, will answer questions on how the said amount was misappropriated under his watch.
According to reports, Akpa claimed the money he diverted was an intervention fund for the biotechnology agency and he allegedly shared the money with top management staff of the agency.
