Founder of IBTC Bank Plc, Atedo Peterside, has tackled the Federal Government for opening the border for Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, to transport his cement to some other countries.
The Buhari government has, since about 10 months ago, shut borders, but it has been revealed (by B) that Dangote cement has been journeying to countries that include Togo.
Peterside, in a tweet, lamented that the economy was being rigged in favour of some people.
He noted:”Allowing legitimate exporters & importers to move their goods across the border should be a no-brainer. Why refuse everybody else & allow only one company (Dangote)? This is why some of us argue that the Nigerian economy is rigged in favour of a handful of well-connected persons.”
