The Nasarawa State Community and Social Development Agency ( CSDA) says it is executing education and health projects worth N9.9 million in Yalwata Wuji, Lafia East Development Area of the State.
The General Manager of the agency, Mr Ahmed Saidu Ey-Shaa, disclosed this on Thursday when he was conducting round the projects’ sites, members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on NASIEC, Multilateral Cooperation and Community Development.
Ey-Shaa said the projects were meant to improve the standard of education and the health status of the people of the area and its environs, for the overall development of the state.
He said that CSDA was a World Bank Assisted project aimed at reducing poverty and improving on the health and standard of living of the rural dwellers.
” This primary school project at LGEA primary School, Yalwata Wuji, costs N3.6million, while the Primary Health Care Centre costs N6.3million.
“Our projects which cut across the state are aimed at touching the lives of the rural dwellers and others, positively.
” These education and health projects will go a long way in improving on the standard of education, as well as improve on the health of the people of this community and the state,” he said.
The general manager appealed for more funds for the agency to enable it to execute more development projects, and solicited for the support of members of the committee in that direction.
Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, a member of the committee representing Lafia North Constituency at the assembly commended the agency for citing the projects in his Constituency.
Alhaji Mohammed Okpoku, the Chairman of the Committee and Member, representing Udege/Loko Constituency, commended the agency for effectively managing its resources, for the overall development of the state.
The Village Head of Yalwata Wuji, Mr Musa Usman, thanked the CSDA for the gesture and assured of the community’s readiness to maintain and guard the projects.
