A revelation by the Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, that his driver died during the EndSARS protest in Abuja, has sparked the anger of many Nigerians.

They said he was invoking sentiments to discredit the struggle.

Keyamo had noted on Thursday, ”I regret to announce that my driver, Mr. Yohanna Shankuk, died yesterday in Abuja as a result of the protests. A vehicle that saw advancing protesters at Berger roundabout, made a U-turn, took the one-way back and ran over him as he was making his way on foot to my private office’.”

While some of the commentators in online platforms questioned why the driver had to tek, others said Nigerian political leaders were generally liars.
