Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez may have painfully parted at Barcelona, but they are still united in stardom.
Messi profusely agonised some days ago when the club management offloaded Suarez, saying he was ‘losing’ a sweet friend apart from being co-strikers.
The latter is now at Atletico Madrid.
But they were on Thursday united in spirits and feats when each ht the net for his country in the World cup qualifier matches held in different countries.
While Messi got Argentina’s only goal against Ecuador, Suarez got the first of Uruguay’s 2-1 against Chile.
