Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has expressed shock at his loss to Peoples Democratic Party in Akure, the state capital.
The All Progressives Congress candidate won his re-election bid, winning 15 out of the 18 local government areas in the state.
He, however, wonders why Akure did not vote for him, with the PDP’s Eyitayo Jegede winning landslide there.
In an interview monitored on ‘Channels Television’ on Sunday night, Akeredolu said he had expected to wait in all local governments.
According to him, he worked in th Akure area, even more than in any other.
