Star actress, Juliet Ibrahim, has said that Asaba films bring more acceptance to actors and actresses than big-budget Nollywood movies.
‘Asaba movies’ are the small-budget ones shot in the likes of Asaba, Delta State, and Ebugu.
According to her, many people, especially Nigerians abroad, tend to relate better with the Asaba films as they find them more believable.
In an interview monitored on ‘Channels Television’, the actress said this was not the same with the big films that go into cinemas.
She said such were often criticised for imitating foreign works.
Talking about her life away from the screen, she said: “I am a very simple person. If not on set, I love watching movies a lot. I love eating. I am very simple. I just do things that everybody does. I am a very simple girl.”
