Results so announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission as shown that Governor Rotimi Akeredoly is flying ahead of other contenders.
Of the results of the 15 local governments already announced, he won in 12 while the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Eyitayo Jegede, won three.
Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party has not won any.
Based on the announcement, Akeredolu has so far secured 229,309 votes; Jegede , 170,138 votes; and Ajayi, 53,422.
