Eno State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has warned the opposition that they cannot lay monopoly to violence.
He told some student representatives who he hosted in Benin on Sunday that, with them, he would be able to resist whatever violence anyone wanted to torment.
According to him, the opposition, apparently referring to the All Progressives Congress, is telling lies and hauling propaganda up and down because they do not have any record to promote.
He said they were planning to use some children and youths to snatch votes and cause violence.
“They think they have the monopoly of violence. If anyone thinks he can forment violence, we will show them violence,” he said.
