Alhaji Ahmed Hassan, the Yakanaje of Uke Emirate in Nasarawa State, has conferred a traditional title of ‘Kaigama’ to Dr Samson Adegoke, Head of Finance and Account, Federal Medical Centre, Keffi.
The monarch made this known in a letter conveying the offer of the chieftaincy title to Adegoke, dated July 31, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Keffi.
The emir said the conferment of the title on Adegoke was in recognition of his sterling qualities of honesty, integrity and contributions toward improvement of services at the Federal Medical Centre.
Hassan described Adegoke as a philanthropist who was always concerned about the plights of the less privilege in the society.
“Alhaji Ahmed Hassan, the Yakanajie of Uke Emirate is excited to bring you on board as the Kaigama of Yakanajie.
“The decision was informed due to your numerous engagements and contributions toward the improvement of services at the federal medical centre, Keffi and Nasarawa State in general.
“On the strength of that, the emirate congratulates you and hope that you will continue to uphold these sterling qualities of honesty, dedications and hard work,’’ the monarch said.
Responding, Adegoke thanked the Yakanajie Uke Emirate for finding him worthy to be conferred with such prestigious title, assuring that he would be a good ambassador of the emirate.
Reacting to the development, Alhaji Mohammad Idris, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Keffi chapter, said Adegoke deserved to be conferred with such prestigious title for his support to the youth and the less privileged in the society.
Idris said that Adegoke had touched several lives positively and has been doing so much for the people of Keffi, Uke, Lafia and Karu Local Government.
“Adegoke has assisted so many people around him even though he is not blowing his trumpet,’’ the youth leader said.
