Embattled ‘University of First Choice’, the University of Lagos, has got a new Acting Vice Chancellor.
She is Prof. Folasade Ogunshola, who, observers would note, is an unusual figure going by how males had dominated the apex leadership of the institution.
Ogunshola, a thoroughbred scholar and administrator, emerged on Monday during an election held by the varsity Senate.
She secured 135 votes while Prof. Ben Ogbojafor got 35.
A vote was said to have been voided.
Ogunshola has been the Provost of the College of Medicine and current Deputy Vice Chancellor, Development Services.
