The adage that success commands many friends is playing out after Arsenal defeated Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup final.
The team that had, before then, become the jests box, following poor outings in the EPL, have sparked accolades, with their fans waking up to mock Chelseas’ and others.
Nigerian big men are not left out, with the likes of Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola; a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar; and Minister of State for Labour, Festus Keyamo, dishing out praises for Arsenal.
Aregbesola: “We fight with dignity, and win with pride. Yes, red is the colour of champions.”
Atiku: “Arsenal! #FACupFinal.”
Keyamo: “The other clubs need to calm down and respect Arsenal! We are FA Cup winners for a record 14th time!”
