The ongoing lockdown has taken its toll on a Senior Secondary 2 pupils Ile-Ife Sun State as she has allegedly been raped by a welder, Korede Adewumi.
The girl, who took to hawking following the vacuum created by school closure, was said to have suffered prolonged bleeding after the incident.
According to ‘Premium Times’, however, the welder has run away with the police searching for him.
“The above-named patient came to my facility with the history of forced sexual intercourse. There is bleeding per vagina as confirmed by the clinician in-charge,” ‘Premium Times’ quoted the Jesuloluwa Nursing Home and Maternity Centre as stating in a report referring the victim to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife.
