A Niger State-based scavenger, Haruna Lawal, is one of the latest suspects in the rape/defilement saga Nigeria is experiencing.
The 60-year-old has allegedly raped a 8-year-old girl, whom she lured with N100.
The state police command said the incident occurred in the Wushishi area.
Wasiu Abiodun, police spokesperson, said in a statement that the scavenger saw the little girl while she was hawking fish and offered her a N100 note.
According to Abiodun, he then took her into an uncompleted building where he had canal knowledge of her.
