Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Goodwill Akpabio, has arrived at the National Assembly where he is appearing before the House Committee probing alleged corruption in the Niger Delta development Commission.
The sitting has begun and here are some of the questions he is expected to answer, based on allegations made by the former Managing Director of the commission, Joi Nunieh:
– How much did the NDDC spend when Nunieh was the MD? She said N8bn while the CBN, according to the committee, reported the commission spent N81bn.
– Did he ask Nunieh to ask the only Northerner on the NDDC top team?
– Did he ask Nunieh to pay someone a billion naira monthly?
– Did he ask Nunieh to be using a bullet proof car donated by a contractor?
– Did he refuse her a car after she subsequently abandoned the contractor’s car?
– Did he insist he would oversee the forensic probe of the NDDC?
– Is he the one who appointed the forensic probe companies?
– Are the accounting firms rookies, with no major ones among them?
– Is it true that the forensic probe has not started?
– Did he ask Nunieh to swear on oath?
– Did he make a move to sleep with Nunieh?
