Details have emerged on a wife who allegedly cut off his husband’s penis in Taraba State on Wednesday.
The woman has been identified as Halima Umar while the husband is Aliyu Umar.
According to the victim’s younger brother, Usman, she perpetuated the act while she and the husband were sleeping, adding that she used a kitchen knife to cut the organ.
He added that she allegedly drugged the man before he slept.
The young man further said that the woman had been fighting his brother since he married another wife.
Usman said, “Halima had continued to engage my brother and his new wife in fights since their marriage about three years ago.”
A medical doctor who identified himself as Dr Penking had broken the news on Twitter on Wednesday, with reports adding that the incident happened early on Wednesday morning, July 1, in Tella, a village in Gassol Local Government area of Taraba state.
“Usman said the victim was rushed from Tella, about 105 kilometers from the headquarters, to the Federal Medical Centre, Jalingo for medical attention. He was then referred from FMC Jalingo to the Federal Medical Centre, Gombe, a neighbouring state.
“Halima was immediately arrested by the police in Tella village and transferred to the police divisional headquarters in Mutum-Biyu in Gassol local government.
Halima has a baby boy and she is currently expecting another child,” LLB added in a story.
