A former speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Zakawanu Garuba, has died.
According to reports, he died Saturday morning after a brief illness.
Garuba was born on 23 August 1965, in Akpekpe community, Auchi, in Etsako West Local Government Area of the state.
He was called to Bar in 1990 having bagged a bachelor of law degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
He was elected into the Edo State House of Assembly in 2003.
