Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has tested positive for coronavirus.
His Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, confirmed this on Wednesday, saying details would follow.
Fayemi is expected to go into isolation while family members and close associates are also expected to go for test.
Before now, some other governors had tested positive for the pandemic.
They include Bala Muhammed, Seyi Makinde, Nasir el-Rufai, Ifeanyi Okowa and Rotimi Akeredolu.
They have since tested negative.
