Unemployed man in court for breaking into night club

Benin Mobile Court convicts 24 for traffic offences

A 47-year-old unemployed man, Mudiaga Agambi, who allegedly broke into a night club to steal, on Friday appeared in a Magistrates’ Court in Asaba.

The police charged Mudiaga with one count of attempted theft.

The prosecution counsel, Mrs Racheal Okafor, told the court that the defendant on Feb. 15, used two fabricated keys and gained entry into Gaga night club and bar with intent to steal.

She said that the offence is punishable under sections 509 and 430(1) of the Criminal Code Cap,C21 Vol 1laws of Delta state of Nigeria 2006.

The defendant pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Edith Anumodu admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N200,000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 14, for definite hearing
