An Ode Irene, Ondo State-based man, Bebu Abiodun Abbey, has been accused of brutalizing his wife, Ronke Adeyemi, in order to force an abortion on her.
One was said to be carrying a three months pregnancy for Abbey who, however, allegedly does not want the child.
They’re said to have married in 2018.
According to an account by Ronke’s brother, Jimmy Adekanle, the woman has been hospitalised after she was allegedly beaten up by the hubby.
Adekanle claimed that Bebu beat her up and inserted his hands in her private parts in an attempt to remove the fetus from her belly.
“Our sister had been complaining to us for a long time about how her husband had been maltreating her over every single issue since they got married.
“We always settle issues for them because there is no perfect marriage but her sin this time around is her refusal to abort her three-month-old pregnancy which she had for him.
“The husband wants her to terminate the pregnancy and since she refused, he went ahead to beat her up and left injuries all over her face and body,” Adekanle said.
