BBNaija reality star, Khafi Kareem, has revealed that she was once raped by someone whose identity she has not revealed.
The lady who is an officer with the UK police said the person begged him after the incident, claiming he was drunk.
She added that a person she narrated the tale to after the act blamed her for it.
She said in a tweet on Tuesday, in reaction to the rape and murder of a University of Benin student, Uwa Omozuwa: ‘#WhyIDidntReport – because he apologised right after. Because I made myself believe him being drunk was an excuse. Because the one person I did tell said I caused it. Because I felt dirty and ashamed. #WeAreTired.’
‘Yes, this did happen to me. I’m sharing in the hope that others will feel no shame in sharing what happened to them. Please don’t deflect or say it is not my story when it was already hard enough sharing it.’
