“I have been abused by people who said I referred to them as ‘useless people’ but I don’t care. If you see the truth, say it. Although I said so in anger, that is still my position today.”
These are the words of the Chief Executive Officer of Executive Jets Services Limited, Sam Iwuajoku, still talking about how his company .mistakenly’ flew Naira Marley and his team to a concert in Abuja.
The company had earlier said in a statement that it mistook popular singer Naira Marley’s original name for that of Works Minister, Babatunde Fashola.
Many people, including the minister, have expressed disgust at the claim but iwuajoke maintains his innocence and blessing for Naira Marley.
The Federal Government has suspended the airline’s operations.
In an interview with ‘Premium Times’, he also wondered why the government has not arrested the singer and his chaps.
“Why will anyone be moving around unnecessarily during a pandemic? Moving around for musical concert at this time is ‘unnecessary movement’. I am wondering why they were not even arrested,” he said.
