The Federal Government has successfully evacuated 269 stranded Nigerians from India as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
They arrived Nigeria in an Air Peace plane in the early hours of Saturday.
The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) made announcement via its Twitter handle.
According to NIDCOM, all the evacuees tested negative before boarding the plane, but would be re-tested within 72 hours.
The returnees will be isolated for 14 days in line with the protocol by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.
The Chairman of NIDCOM , Abike Dabiri-Erewa, also welcomed the returnees back to the country.
