Governor Godwin Obaseki has finally got the green light to contest in Thursday’s primary in Edo State.
The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt struck out the suit against him on Wednesday afternoon.
With this development, two candidates are, according to the party’s chairman in the state, going to compete in the primary.
According to him, the judgement is a great development for the party.
He said, “what has happened in Port Harcourt this afternoon shows.
we are not like them. We make sure that all aggrieved persons within our fold, their fears and grievances are looked into.
Honorable Ogbediama is our person. We think what has happened is the right thing to do. We are happy. Tomorrow we are going to have a good election. Both are tough competitors (Obaseki and Kenneth Imasuagbon) are strong. We expect a vey tight race.”
