Celebrated broadcaster and actress, Omotunde Adebowale-David, popularly called Lolo, has said revealed some features that define her romance life.
For one, she says, she can’t ask a man out no matter how strongly she feels for him.
“I’m very old school when it comes to that but a woman can make herself available or visible. I don’t think that I‘ll want to ask a man out. But there is a way one can be around the person that even if he is shy, he would summon the courage to talk. If you tell a man that you like him and he doesn’t like you; that’s worse for women. A woman would take it more personal,” she says in an interview in Sunday Punch.
On whether or not she will remarry, she says says she has been getting offers but she is exercise caution:
“Firstly, I don’t feel pressured to marry. If one has made a mistake once, the best thing is to settle down and choose better. It’s not like I have never had offers; I just think that I’ve not seen the ideal person. When the right person comes along, why not? However, I may not go public about my marriage.”
A Law graduate from the Lagos State University, Lolo started her career as a legal practitioner after being called to bar in 2000.
She worked in the law department before dropping it for media broadcasting in 2004.
As an actress, she featured in the popular series Jenifa’s Diary where she acted as Adaku. She became an On Air Personality for the first time when she joined Metro FM. She later joined Wazobia FM, then she left in 2019 after over 11 years with them.
She got the nickname Lolo1 during a radio live show when she requested a nickname from people and she eventually picked lolo.
She featured in the cover page for La Mode Magazine for July 2017 edition.
In 2020 she produced her first movie titled When Love is not Enough. The movie was directed by Okiki Afolayan.
