An Edo-based pastor, Otobong Emerson, has been arrested for allegedly defiling four teenage girls who were placed in his care.
He is a pastor of Believers’ Ministry Church Incorporated.
According to the 48-year-old, an evil spirit led him to commit the crime.
After sexually abusing the girls repeatedly in his room, Otobong said, his conscience made him confess to his church’s general overseer.
“It happened in my room. I am their pastor. They were given to me to care for. It was my conscience that even made me report myself to my GO,” he said.
