Luck has on criminal-minded grave diggers in Ondo as they were caught while trying to cut the head of tipper driver freshly buried in their domain.
The state police command identified their names as Kunle Olomofe 45; Adewale Abiodun 40; Akinola Sunday 69 and Oluwadare Idowu, 67.
According to the police, the four grave diggers work at a public cemetery owned by Akure South Local Government, adding that five other heads were found in their possession.
Trouble became their lot when family members of the deceased tipper driver returned to make arrangements on how to permanently secure the gravesite , only to discover that his remain had been exhumed.
Spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said an investigation into the matter has commenced. The suspects have been remanded in police custody.
