The Federal Government has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Kano State Government ‎to contain the COVID-19 pandemic spread

Mr Isah Adamu, who represented the Minister of Environment, Dr Muhammad Abubakar, said that the ‎items would go a long way in fighting the dreaded disease in the state.

“We are donating hand sanitizers, Personal Protective Equipment and other items mostly needed by the health workers who are in the frontline of the battle to contain the spread of COVID-19.‎

“The items include, respirators, face masks, hazman suits, gloves,reflective jackets, sprayers, hand sanitizers and microcite chemicals among others‎,” he explained.

On his part, Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje commended the initiative of the Federal Ministry of Environment in the fight against COVID-19.‎

He said that the donation would go a long way in fighting the pandemic in the state and also compliment the state governments efforts.
Ganduje also commended the Federal Government efforts in fighting the dreaded COVID-19 disease. ‎

Ganduje also flagged off the distribution of two million face masks and other PPE to the leadership of eight metropolitan local government areas.

The governor, who enforced the use of face mask in the state, said that the measure would help to further prevent ‎the spread of the virus.

He lamented that the residents have continued to violate ‎the social distancing order and the use face mask in public places.

Ganduje said‎ there was no way government would henceforth watch people violating the protocols of the corona virus in the state.
