Controversy continues to surround the death of Lagos-based dancer, Love Divine, as Lagos police say popular music video director is still in their custody.
The dancer nicknamed Kodak died in Peters’ studio in Lagos but there has been argument over the circumstances surrounding the death even as witnesses claim she was electrocuted.
Peters too had said so earlier on Monday though he claimed he was not arrested but that he went to see the police on his own volition.
The police, however, insisted he had been with them since Sunday, with their PRP, Bala Elkana, saying they were still keeping him pending the time autopsy would be ready.
‘Premium Times’ quotes Elkana as saying,
“My response has been clear. Do we have him in custody, I say we do. Why do you have him in custody? We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the dancer.
“We are also waiting for the autopsy result. Investigation is a natural cause. It is important for him and it is also good for any other person who was there. If nobody has a hand in it, the report will clear everybody. If the result says it is a murder case, the law will take its cause. That is exactly why we have him, that is exactly what we are doing.”
