Lagos State Government is about to start Chloroquine trial for coronavirus.
This was revealed on Thursday by the state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi.
According to him, the trial will take two patterns, which he identified as double blind trial and solidarity trial.
In the course of a media briefing going on at the Alausa Secretariat, Ikeja, Abayomi said the solidarity type was in line with the World Health Organisation’s principle while the other is adopted by the state.
In the double blind trial, the patients and health officials -except one – would not know the drug was being administered.
Abayomi added that, in the next two months, results of the trial would be out.
He also noted that testing had improved in the state, adding that it now commanded four active laboratories.
