Three sisters found floating on a river in Amaeze village on Saturday, in Ishiagu community of Ebonyi State, have been buried on its bank.
While they appeared to have drowned, police are still investigating the actual cause of the tragedy.
According to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel, the incident was a case of sudden and unnatural death.
The girls aged between 14 and 20, were said to be pupils of Comprehensive Secondary School, Ishiagu.
They were buried on the bank of the river, as culture dictates.
