Popular singer, Davido, has attributed the hate that many people are said to have for him to his father’s richness.

The father, Deji adeleke, is one of Nigeria’s super-rich men, with investments cutting across various sectors.

Davido made the ‘disclosure’ when a Twitter fan wondered why he was so loathed (sic):

“Davido doesn’t deserve the amount of hate he gets,” the Twitter user wrote.

And Davido responded: “What hate ?? The just mad my Dad rich !! MY FANS LOVE ME !!”

About Adeleke’s wealth

According to the 360Report, money runs in the Adeleke family as they have millionaires. On his part, Dr Deji Adeleke is a billionaire with a current net worth of $700 million as estimated by Forbes. Apart from being one of the most successful businessmen in Nigeria today, he is known to be the richest man in Osun state. His father, Chief Adebayo Adeleke, was said to have drawn the master plan for Banana Island in Lagos which has attracted many foreign investors till date.
Adeleke was born on March 6, 1957. He’s a wealthy businessman and is also one of the richest Yoruba men in Nigeria today. His late wife, Dr Vero Adeleke (Davido’s mother) died in 2003. Deji Adeleke has a great experience in education – he is a partner and co-founder of Adeleke University, which is situated in Ede, Osun State. He is the CEO of Pacific Holdings Ltd Company, which specializes in finances and investments in different sectors of the Nigerian economy. It deals with steel production, energy, logistics, and warehousing. Apart from that, Deji Adeleke is involved in real estate as well as banking.
