Kwara COVID-19 Scare: Expert speaks on death of UK returnee Chartered Accountant

The death of a Chartered Accountant, Alhaji Jimoh Raufu-Muideen, at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital has thrown people in Ilorin into a Coronavirus Disease panic.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that experts at the UITH claimed that it was only suspected and not confirmed yet.
A Consultant Health worker of UITH, who pleaded anonymity, explained that the deceased has gastroenteritis, an intestinal infection marked by diarrhoea, cramps, nausea, vomiting and fever.
He said a patient, with symptoms of food poisoning, was said to have been on self isolation for 13 days following his return from the United Kingdom to attend the graduation of his daughter.
He explained that sample have been collected from the deceased for testing, adding that the case result is still being expected.
According to him, the news going round was mere speculation.
NAN learnt that the management of the hospital has shut down the Medical Emergency Section and the process of fumigation has been initiated.
Also health workers were advised to use Personal Protective Equipment kits while attending to any patient because all patients are potential carriers of this highly contagious virus.
The President, Association of Resident Doctors, UITH branch, Dr. Lanre Olosunde, told NAN that he would comment on the issue after the management had issued a statement.
Olosunde however advised members to be cautious and use protective wares always.
