Minister of Management and Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Farouq, has shed light on the criteria the Federal Government used to identify the poor Nigerians it has been giving conditional cash transfer and lockdown palliatives.
The criteria and the manner the government has been handling the matter have been a subject of controversy, with many Nigerians alleging corruption and lack of equity in the matter.
Speaking on the project during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, the minister stressed that the list she inherited was drawn by the government in partnership with the World Bank.
She said that in the states where the government had been providing the interventions, it was each community that identified the poor who were entitled to the offers.
