The sun has set on veteran actor, Yomi Obileye.

The stage and screen master, who also thrived incorporate enterprise, renowned with great elocution died on Friday though details of the passage are still sketchy.

Among other colleagues, Bolaji Amusan, aka Mr Latin, has confirmed the development.

“Yes, he is dead. I have confirmed it too. It is so unfortunate that we lost him. He is a complete entertainer and someone that many of us look up to,” ‘The Punch’ quoted him as saying.

Obileye was brother to another star actor, Taiwo Obileye, who is Chief Daddy in Niyi Akinmolayan-directed movie that goes by the same title.

Some, including Phenomenal.Com.ng. initially confused him with the latter.

Also mourning him, popular comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, said on IG: “If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane, we would walk right up to heaven and bring you back.

“Rest In Peace Uncle Yomi Obileye. Thanks for the memories. I can’t help but want to watch “Hostages” again. Sleep well Egbon and May God give your family and fans the fortitude to bear the loss.”
