Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, has said reacted to an explosion that occurred at the Festac area of Lagos.
According to him, men of LASEMA, the state’s emergency agency, are already battling the fire.
He thus urged residents to remain calm.
The large explosion occurred at the Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos State on Sunday.
It was learnt that the impact of the explosion damaged some nearby houses, with eyewitnesses saying that the incident occurred at Abule Ado inside Omo Onile around 9am.
It was learnt that roofs and windows of some nearby houses were damaged during the explosion.
An eyewitness confirmed it was a pipeline explosion.
