Facebook has announced the closure of its London offices till Monday as it deals with the case of one of its employees diagnosed with coronavirus
According to the company’s management, the unnamed employee, who is based in Singapore, visited Facebook’s London offices between February 24-26 and was later diagnosed with COVID-19.
“An employee based in our Singapore office who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 visited our London offices February 24-26, 2020,” Facebook said in a statement.
“We are therefore closing our London offices until Monday for deep cleaning and employees are working from home until then.”
While other employees have been told to work from home through the weekend, the firm also advised anyone who came into contact with the affected employee to self-isolate and monitor themselves for any symptoms of the novel coronavirus.
