Updates are surfacing on the treatments of the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Alhaji Abba Kyari, and Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed.
This is as confirmation came that Frank Okiye, the Speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, has tested positive for the pandemic.
This was disclosed by the Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, while briefing journalists on Wednesday.
According to Shaibu, the government is already taking measures to tackle further spread of the virus in the state.
Earlier, the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, said he was on self isolation having got closely to two people who had tested positive.
Reports said doctors were digging into the health backgrounds of the Chief of Staff (Kyari) as he was said to have other health issues he was being treated for before contracting coronavirus.
In the case of Mohammed, he sent message that he was doing well in isolation, but urged Nigerians to strictly adhere to advice on curbing coronavirus.
