Coronavirus: Oyo asks travellers from affected countries to isolate, releases numbers to call

The Oyo State Government has asked travellers from countries with high rate of coronavirus to self isolate.
The government has also published numbers to call especially by families of such visitors or returnees.
The state came under focus on Wednesday when the Ekiti State Government said an individual who had the disease had spent a week in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The precautionary measures (by Oyo) are contained in a statement by the state’s Ministry of Health, as published below:

*PUBLIC NOTICE*
Following the confirmation of 5 new covid-19 cases in Nigeria, the Oyo state public is advised to take hygienic precautionary measures to avoid an outbreak in the state.

All individuals who are just returning from countries with the ongoing covid-19 outbreak are strongly implored to self-isolate under supervision for a period of 14 days before going out or mixing with the public.

Family members of people who are just returning from countries with the ongoing corona virus outbreak should please call our help lines below for information on proper self-isolation procedures and assignment of a public health specialist for supervision.
