It is the end of the road former Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, as far as the battle to regain the office is concerned.
The Supreme Court in Abuja on Tuesday dismissed his application for review of its January 14, 2020 judgment which removed him.
Unlike what obtained in the David Lyon’s case, where the justices of the court unanimously thrashed his appeal for review, however, they were slightly divided in Ihedioha’s matter.
The seven-man panel of the apex court, led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, in a split ruling of six-to-one, described the application by Ihedioha ruling as an invitation to sit in an appeal over its judgment.
