Pupil shot during okada riot discharged from hospital, father still angry over N20,000 offered by police

A Lagos-based man, Mukaila Shobukola, has expressed anger and disgust at a gesture of police authorities in Lagos following the stray bullet that hit her daughter.
The schoolgirl was hit about two weeks ago when some policemen battled some okada and Marwa riders allegedly protesting their ban from some major Lagos roads.
She was shot in Abooru, in the Iyana Ipaja area of the state.
After the girl was rushed to a hospital, Shobukola said, the divisional police officer of a station around the area asked him to take N20,000 towards her treatment.
“i was shocked. I said,’Is it N20,000 I use to take care of my family?” the man, a technician asked.
He rejected the offer.
