Sweden reports 4 new coronavirus cases

Four more cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Sweden, raising the Scandinavian country’s number of cases to 11, health authorities said on Friday.

Two cases were diagnosed in Stockholm and traced to a woman who had recently visited Iran, who was diagnosed on Thursday.

All three were isolated in hospital in Stockholm.

“We are trying to trace people they might have had contact with,” said physician Per Follin.

In the city of Uppsala another patient was diagnosed after recently visiting Iran, while a middle-aged man who this week returned from northern Italy was in hospital in Jonkoping, southern Sweden.

He had mild symptoms physician Malin Bengner said.
