Heroine of Nigeria's battle against Ebola, Dr Ameyo Adadevoh

Six years after her death, the Federal Government has named a major road in Abuja after Dr. Stella Adadevoh, the medical doctor who played a major role in preventing an Ebola epidemic in Nigeria in 2014.
Incidentally, this is coming at a time the dreaded Coronavirus is raging in China, spreading fears across the globe.
Many had earlier called for honour for Aadevoh.

The road named after her is located along Ahmadu Bello Way, close to the Nigerian Air Force Conference Centre.

Adadevoh died in August 2014 while preventing a Liberian man, Patrick Sawyerr, from leaving her hospital after she diagnosed him of having the deadly Ebola virus.
