Judge wants Naira Marley in court over car theft

Controversial singer, Naira Marley, must appear in court in the next few days over an allegation of car theft.
Magistrate judge Tajudeen Elias on Tuesday ordered the Investigating Police Officer (IPO), Sgt. Sunday Idoko, to produce him in court on the next date of adjournment.

‘The Nation’, however, reported two of the musician’s brothers and his cousins also appeared in court over alleged theft of a car and a phone, The Nations gathered.

The defendants, Idris Fashola, 18, Babatunde Fashola, 24 and Kunle Obere, 22, are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the arrest of Naira Marley.

Prosecuting Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Edet Okoi told the court that the three defendants were in a motorcade with Naira on December 16, when they stole the Toyota Camry vehicle with registration number FEE 120 AA valued at N1.8 million and an IPhone X5 worth N330,000 belonging to Mr. Adelekan Ademola
